Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for GenAI, Big Data, analytics, and Databricks platforms.
- Operate and maintain reliable, high-performing platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Support application onboarding through infrastructure sizing, capacity reviews, access management, troubleshooting, and environment readiness.
- Monitor platform health, availability, capacity, and performance, and improve observability, alerting, and operational processes.
- Coordinate service restoration, incident resolution, on-call support, and major incident management.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Install, upgrade, patch, configure, and administer platform components in Linux environments.
- Support disaster recovery testing, resiliency exercises, infrastructure maintenance, security upgrades, and compliance activities.
- Support GenAI services, model access requests, onboarding controls, governance processes, and platform usage guidance.
- Create runbooks, knowledge articles, operational standards, documentation, and recommended practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Application Development, Security, business teams, and application users.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise platforms in production environments.
- Strong Linux/Unix system administration experience.
- Experience supporting Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and large-scale enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident management processes.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Preferred experience supporting Generative AI platforms and AI/ML workloads.
- Preferred Databricks administration and operations experience.
- Knowledge of Vertex AI, Anthropic, Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability engineering practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, security, compliance, governance frameworks, and enterprise monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus.
