Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and distributed systems for the data catalog.
- Establish clear service ownership, reliability, and well-defined interfaces.
- Turn ambiguous product ideas into focused launches, fast feedback loops, and durable technical foundations.
- Make security and systems decisions involving authorization, identity, data movement, audit logs, and policy enforcement.
- Deliver customer-visible enterprise software with operational simplicity.
- Communicate technical trade-offs across security, usability, and delivery speed with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Use AI tools effectively while maintaining human ownership of correctness, security, and architecture.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in backend engineering and distributed systems.
- Strong track record of technical leadership and organization-wide impact.
- High agency, a bias toward shipping, and ability to work through ambiguity.
- AI-native engineering mindset with hands-on experience using AI tools.
- Strong security and systems judgment, particularly around authorization, identity, data movement, audit logs, or policy enforcement.
- Product sense for enterprise software and customer-visible impact.
- Clear communication skills across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure, LLM gateways, MCP, developer tools, identity systems, or data protection is preferred.
