Base Salary
$200k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Configure, customize, optimize, and support ConductorAI software in customer environments.
- Write and maintain production-quality code in Python and TypeScript.
- Work directly with users to understand workflows, gather feedback, and define product requirements.
- Debug and improve system reliability, performance, usability, and operational efficiency.
- Build and deliver technical demonstrations for current and prospective customers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop features driven by customer needs.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes at customer sites.
- Help define the Forward Deployed Engineer role and lead a small, growing FDE team.
- Contribute to company strategy, culture, and evolving responsibilities as an early team member.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required; the employer cannot consider green card holders or sponsor visas for this role.
- An active DoD TS or TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire.
- Experience in defense, intelligence, or national security environments.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering or forward deployed engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience working directly with end users or customers in a technical capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Experience with LLMs and modern AI application techniques.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and OCONUS.
- Preferred qualifications include early-stage startup experience, system design or full-stack development experience, and relationships with DoD or civil agency stakeholders.
