Responsibilities
- Provide technical depth across strategic federal customer engagements.
- Own the technical direction and success of customer accounts and deployments.
- Translate customer pain points into product requirements, solutions, and implementations.
- Connect the Federal GTM team with core product engineering teams.
- Build product extensions and integrations using Cognition’s APIs and platform primitives.
- Architect and maintain complex enterprise deployments.
- Handle escalated technical issues requiring deep debugging or architectural judgment.
- Provide engineering teams with technical insight into field requirements.
- Help establish engineering practices, technical direction, and organizational culture for the federal engineering group.
Requirements
- Strong engineering foundation and the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases.
- Experience working cross-functionally and contributing to product or commercial thinking.
- Experience working within government or at a government-focused company.
- A track record of pursuing excellence at a high level.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
- Experience scoping and shipping features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, enterprise infrastructure, cloud deployments, networking, or security.
