Base Salary
$227k - $366k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with delivery and executive stakeholders to scope, design, and lead implementation of AI-driven solutions.
- Identify opportunities in ambiguous workflows and turn them into repeatable systems.
- Lead architecture and trade-off discussions covering performance, scalability, cost, and reliability.
- Own projects from initial discovery through deployment, client delivery, coordination, and post-launch iteration.
- Build shared infrastructure, reusable components, and internal engineering playbooks.
- Coach and mentor mid-level engineers and help shape forward-deployed AI engineering practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building data, ML, or backend systems.
- Deep proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI, Pinecone, and related ecosystems.
- Experience with Docker, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and cloud environments such as GCP and AWS.
- Experience with workflow orchestration libraries, Kafka-based pub/sub systems, schema governance, data governance, and data operations.
- Expertise with Unity Catalog, policy management, cluster and job orchestration, data contracts, quality enforcement, Delta/ETL pipelines, and replay processes.
- Strong product and system design skills, including translating business needs into technical architecture.
- Experience building usable systems from messy data and ambiguous requirements.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ownership of projects from scoping through deployment in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
- Willingness to provide customer on-call support and travel approximately 25–50% of the time, including short-notice trips.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
