Base Salary
$48k - $87k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and deploy software using Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
- Create Kibana visualizations and dashboards for users and support staff.
- Develop Kafka integrations between Elasticsearch, Logstash, Databricks, and other systems.
- Develop and apply AI/ML, generative AI, cybersecurity automation, and network automation capabilities.
- Deploy, configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade Kafka and Elastic clusters and environments.
- Develop automated tests using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and other applicable tools.
- Build automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Bitbucket.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues and collaborate with a geographically distributed Agile team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain an interim Secret DoD security clearance before the start date.
- Experience with software development using Python, Java, and SQL, plus working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
- Experience with distributed version control software such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Experience developing software on a UNIX command-line platform.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with a virtual team.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to report periodically to Scott AFB, IL, or Ft. Meade, MD when required.
- Desired qualifications include full software lifecycle experience, Kubernetes or Docker experience, React familiarity, AWS experience, Atlassian tools familiarity, and knowledge of large language models and predictive analytics.
- Obtaining CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification before the start date is strongly encouraged.

- Primarily remote work arrangement with mandatory periodic on-site requirements at Scott AFB, IL, or Ft. Meade, MD.
