Base Salary
$114k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate authentication services for SSO, token issuance, session and token lifecycle management, SCIM provisioning, and bot/fraud defense.
- Develop APIs and internal tooling for managing and troubleshooting user data and access controls.
- Collaborate with product management, product design, engineers, and internal stakeholders on complex access use cases.
- Participate in the on-call and hero rotation, triage incidents, investigate authentication and authorization issues, and create runbooks.
- Investigate and resolve reliability, data-integrity, and security issues, including dependency and container vulnerability remediation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience building and shipping reliable software services.
- Expertise in backend languages, with Ruby or Java preferred.
- Experience modeling and managing data at scale, including writing and reasoning about SQL against relational databases.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with IAM protocols such as SCIM, OAuth2, SAML, or OIDC is preferred.
- Experience with GraphQL APIs, observability tools and platforms, public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or Docker is preferred.
