Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural evolution of core storage engine components.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in indexing layouts and serialization formats.
- Drive cross-organizational initiatives for industry-leading observability solutions.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team on Elasticsearch's logs and metrics capabilities.
- Introduce best practices for clean coding standards and system improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor within the engineering organization.
- Triage, resolve, and review issues and pull requests with a global community.
Requirements
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and teams.
- Experience in using AI to accelerate development and optimize code.
- Implemented techniques for efficient indexing, storage, and querying of time-series or logs data.
- Familiarity with data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong core Java skills and understanding of concurrency primitives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
