Software Developer (AI & Agentic Engineering), SrAssc
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications within the COMPASS platform.
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, batch processes, and integration components.
- Develop integrations using APIs, messaging, file transfers, and cloud services.
- Create automated unit, integration, and regression tests and participate in system integration and end-to-end validation.
- Troubleshoot integration, data, and application issues and support counterparty and workflow onboarding.
- Support production readiness, release activities, post-release stabilization, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
- Use Microsoft Copilot and generative AI tools for code generation, test automation, documentation, troubleshooting, knowledge management, and workflow optimization.
- Contribute to DevOps automation, peer code reviews, technical design reviews, project documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, QA, operations, and global teams across APAC, EMEA, and North America.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Oracle SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience or understanding of API integration, file processing, and enterprise application development.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
- Understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and AI-enabled software development.
- Interest in applying AI tools to improve engineering productivity and business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and learning abilities.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Preferred: experience in financial services, investment management, or transaction processing platforms.
- Preferred: knowledge of DevOps, observability, and automated testing tools.
- Preferred: exposure to Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or agentic AI solutions.
