Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
- Contribute to large-scale technical planning and strategy.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software projects and programs.
- Build or train machine learning and generative AI models and tune hyperparameters.
- Develop end-to-end Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines involving vector databases, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, and context injection.
- Resolve moderately complex technical challenges and lead projects as an escalation point.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to achieve technical goals.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
- Process, clean, and analyze data using statistical techniques.
- Evaluate emerging technology trends and drive proofs of concept or pilot solutions.
- Use enterprise CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, and incident-management tooling.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Angular or React.
- Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Experience with ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience building or training models and tuning hyperparameters.
- Experience with generative AI technologies and enterprise Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines.
- Understanding of microservice-based distributed architecture, cloud platforms, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Background in data science and analysis, including statistical data processing and actionable insight generation.
- Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark.
- Ability to solve complex problems with ambiguous requirements and develop proofs of concept or pilot solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile development strategies and ceremonies, Test Driven Development, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with REST and SOAP web APIs for integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Harness and Jenkins.
- Expertise with Ansible, observability tools, and incident-management tools such as ServiceNow.
- Self-motivated approach and continued learning through courses, certifications, and research papers.
