Base Salary
$116k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build high-scale Java services for business-critical middle-office platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and improve engineering standards.
- Shape architecture and APIs for performance, resilience, and scale.
- Own features end-to-end from design through production and post-release support.
- Apply AI across requirements, design, coding, testing, releases, and production support.
- Use AI for change-impact analysis, targeted testing, production-readiness validation, and incident knowledge capture.
- Partner with Product and Operations on the product roadmap.
- Improve team velocity through AI coding assistants and CI/CD automation.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
- Prototype rapidly and deliver MVPs in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience delivering production-grade Java systems at scale.
- Expertise in modern Java 17+, Spring Boot, and distributed services.
- Strong background in microservices, REST APIs, modulith architectures, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL tuning, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Kafka/MQ, distributed processing, or large data platforms.
- Strong automated testing mindset and comfort with CI/CD and containerization.
- Security-aware approach balancing speed, reliability, and compliance.
- Experience working in Agile teams that ship frequently to production.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent real-world experience.
- At least 10 years of software development experience.
- Financial services or securities industry experience, polyglot stack exposure, and engineering mentoring experience are preferred.
