Responsibilities
- Define PHY firmware features and requirements for 4G-LTE and 5G-NR.
- Explore and propose concepts and algorithms for cellular PHY functionality.
- Develop and simulate models to validate functionality and performance.
- Contribute to power- and area-efficient firmware implementations.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team across time zones.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an M.S. or Ph.D. degree program in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Availability for 6 months or longer.
- Solid foundations in signal processing and communication theory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of linear algebra, probability, and random processes.
- Experience using C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development and modeling.
- Preferred experience includes embedded cellular PHY firmware, real-time constraints, DSP/vector processors, and hardware/software co-design.
- Preferred familiarity with 4G-LTE and 5G-NR RAN1/RAN4 standards and PHY procedures.
