Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build large-scale distributed systems for OCI region builds and network orchestration.
- Develop services and frameworks that simplify complex networking challenges at scale.
- Collaborate across teams to create unified, automated, and observable systems.
- Lead technical direction for high-impact projects, mentor engineers, and shape design reviews.
- Improve service reliability, latency, and operational automation using tooling, metrics, and self-healing systems.
- Partner with senior leadership on architectural strategy and OCI’s region-build roadmap.
- Foster collaboration, innovation, accountability, and ownership across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Must live within 50 miles of Nashville, Tennessee or be willing to relocate and work in the Nashville office full time five days per week.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a relevant coding-focused technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of software development experience.
- Strong coding ability in Java, GoLang, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience delivering products through the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience building or operating large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure.
- Experience in an operational environment supporting mission-critical, tier-one live services.
- Experience designing architectures for high availability, scalability, flexibility, and future business demands.
- Preferred experience developing and maintaining services on AWS, Azure, or Oracle public cloud platforms.
- Preferred knowledge of Infrastructure as Code languages, especially Terraform.
- Preferred strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Apache Spark, and other big data technologies.
