Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP RAP, ABAP Objects, and SAP development best practices.
- Develop and integrate OData services, SAP Fiori applications, and SAPUI5 solutions.
- Build SAP BTP extensions and integrations while applying clean core, extensibility, security, and scalability principles.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, estimations, and technical design.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, integration, and performance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, engineering standards, and technical best practices while collaborating with global delivery teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a SAP ABAP Developer, preferably supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation, or modernization programs.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP RAP, including business objects, behavior definitions, service definitions, and service bindings.
- Strong expertise in SAP BTP and integration or extension scenarios.
- Proven experience with OData services, REST APIs, SAP Fiori applications, and SAPUI5 solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of ABAP Objects, CDS, enhancement frameworks, BAdIs, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience using Eclipse and ADT as primary development environments.
- Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design through deployment and support.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include SAP S/4HANA Cloud, ABAP Cloud, Embedded Steampunk, CAP, SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, SAP Business Application Studio, Git, automated testing tools, HANA data modeling, relevant SAP certifications, Agile or Scrum delivery experience, and mentoring junior developers.
