Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions as part of an agile delivery team.
- Build and maintain mission-critical or supporting backend software using C# .NET.
- Produce technical documentation and write and maintain automated tests.
- Collaborate with developers, the Product Manager, and Software Test Engineers.
- Follow modern software development practices, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on backend software development experience using C# .NET.
- Experience as a Software Developer or significant experience as a Junior Software Developer.
- A formal degree in Computing Science or equivalent experience.
- NPPV3 clearance or willingness to undergo the required clearance process and background checks.
- At least 3 years of UK residency to apply for NPPV3 clearance.
- Understanding of OOP, SOLID, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Experience writing and maintaining meaningful automated tests.
- Familiarity with Git repositories, pull requests, and modern development workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: UK Police Control Room experience or knowledge and SQL Server experience.
