Base Salary
$107k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, test, and debug computer software applications and systems.
- Make key architectural decisions and help ensure secure software development and software supply-chain integrity.
- Work with Linux networking, shell scripting, command-line build systems, containers, microservices, and service-to-service communication.
- Take ownership of budgets, costs, estimated schedules, leadership, and project outcomes.
- Communicate with company personnel and customers as required.
- Provide technical knowledge and assistance to engineers and support personnel, and teach and mentor team members.
- Lead a technical group independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Fluency in Rust, C, or C++, with the ability and interest to become productive in Rust.
- Strong Linux proficiency, including TCP/IP, sockets, routing, and DNS.
- Comfort with shell scripting, command-line automation, and build systems.
- Experience running and deploying services with Docker.
- Experience with microservice architectures and service-to-service communication using technologies such as NATS, Kafka, MQTT, or gRPC.
- Proficiency with Git and experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment begins.
