Base Salary
$116k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software and associated components for audio products.
- Develop hardware drivers, embedded software applications, audio and control networking, networking protocols, and related systems using C++ and C.
- Contribute to product architecture, software design, implementation, and real-time system modeling with UML or similar methodologies.
- Estimate, organize, document, and review engineering tasks, designs, and peer code.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing of software components.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional development teams.
- Debug embedded software and hardware and support software version control and release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Electrical Engineering is required; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least five years of requisite experience is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and/or C, object-oriented design, analysis, and programming.
- Experience designing software with networking protocols including Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP, Wi-Fi, and other wireless protocols.
- Understanding of operating system concepts and embedded software development environments and tools for real-time operating systems such as Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, or VxWorks.
- Experience with embedded system architectures, development environments, debugging, software version control, and release processes.
- Hardware driver development, hardware debugging, and exposure to network security and protocols are preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, attention-to-detail, and quality-focused skills are required.
