Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Build and own end-to-end agent functionality spanning prompt and context architecture, retrieval over policy and coverage data, claims-system tool and API calls, and human handoff.
- Build and operate evaluation loops using golden sets, trajectory evaluation, LLM-as-judge methods, production call-trace analysis, and release gates.
- Improve containment and resolution rates while preserving accuracy and instrumenting the system to measure changes.
- Develop the real-time voice path, including turn-taking, interruption handling, latency budgets, and the LiveKit/SIP telephony layer.
- Review carrier calls and recordings to identify and correct conversational failures.
Requirements
- Ship and deploy an LLM application used by real users and understand LLMs, context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
- Have depth in machine learning and deep learning and use disciplined evaluations, error analysis, and statistical measurement to manage unpredictable model behavior.
- Apply software engineering fundamentals across cost, latency, reliability, scalability, data stores, distributed systems, testing, security, privacy, and process automation.
- Use coding agents effectively, including managing context, writing specifications when appropriate, providing verifiers, and deciding when to intervene.
- Use product judgment and enough insurance or claims context to shape agent behavior and delivery priorities.
- Preferred experience includes real-time or streaming voice systems, ASR, TTS, telephony, SBC/SIPREC, regulated domains, internal evaluation or observability tooling, model experimentation and production deployment, P&C insurance or Guidewire products, and DSPy or GEPA.
