Base Salary
$185k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical and architectural direction for the orchestration platform
- Own critical components of the orchestration platform and other managed services
- Drive cross-organizational initiatives involving scheduling, quota enforcement, and hyperscale scaling
- Build orchestration capabilities that improve workload reliability and efficiency across massive GPU clusters
- Establish organization-wide best practices for reliability and observability
- Mentor senior engineers and influence architecture across teams
- Evolve the orchestration layer for next-generation AI workloads
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production
- Deep expertise in Slurm and Kubernetes internals
- Advanced proficiency in Go and distributed systems and cloud-native development
- Experience setting technical direction and influencing cross-team architecture
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Preferred familiarity with Ray, Kubeflow, Kueue, Istio, Knative, or Argo Workflows
- Preferred experience with distributed workloads, GPU-based applications, or ML pipelines
- Preferred knowledge of quota enforcement, pre-emption, and scaling strategies
- Preferred exposure to SLOs, alarms, and post-incident reviews
- Preferred experience with AI infrastructure and ML training, inference, or HPC workloads
- Ability to mentor senior engineers and elevate organizational standards
