Base Salary
$89k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack platform services and applications using Java and Python.
- Lead implementation of distributed systems with emphasis on performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence.
- Own feature delivery from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and service-to-service integrations with backward-compatible contracts.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and enhance developer productivity.
- Debug production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Develop scalable systems with observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, containerization, infrastructure as code, and auto-scaling.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise and working knowledge of Python.
- Deep experience with Java ecosystems and frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
- Full-stack development experience with backend services and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CloudFormation, Kafka, RabbitMQ or JMS, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with unit testing, test data generation, API design standards, OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning, contract-driven development, and CI/CD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Linux and Unix shell scripting, NGINX, HAProxy, Envoy, Git, Splunk, Elastic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, JVM diagnostics, JFR, and VisualVM.
- Preferred familiarity with AI/ML concepts, generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
