Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and document secure, production-ready software for Visa’s Cloud Platform.
- Build reusable platform automation, configuration-management content, APIs, microservices, and platform components.
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend functionality for platform services.
- Design AI agents for autonomous task execution and workflow orchestration, and apply prompt-engineering techniques.
- Use Generative AI tools for coding, testing, code review, documentation, and development productivity.
- Create automated unit and component tests and contribute to integration, regression, quality, and release practices.
- Own work end to end from design through implementation, testing, signoff, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, QA, support, Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Security teams.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and supporting enterprise-grade Java or J2EE applications.
- Experience with software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, scalable architecture, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience using Generative AI coding assistants and productivity tools such as Claude Code CLI, GitHub Copilot, and Cline.
- Experience or strong interest in agent-based architectures, multi-step agent orchestration, and prompt engineering.
- Working knowledge of Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, and a modern frontend framework such as Angular or React.
- Practical exposure to Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, preferably with Ansible or Terraform.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality gates, version control, and release automation.
- Confidence with Unix and Linux command lines and experience across Linux and Windows environments.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure including load balancers, storage, servers, firewalls, and networking.
- Strong debugging, analytical, communication, documentation, collaboration, adaptability, and ownership skills.
- Experience with financial services, payments, dispute processing, or high-volume mission-critical enterprise platforms is preferred.
