Responsibilities
- Work directly with business users to analyze workflows, identify needs, and create personas, journey maps, information architecture, user flows, and product requirements.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and usability tests, then incorporate user feedback into implementation.
- Build responsive production web applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, including reusable components, state management, validation, error handling, and automated tests.
- Design conversational, generative, and agentic AI interfaces with streaming responses, tool execution, citations, confirmation flows, human review, status feedback, and uncertainty handling.
- Apply design systems, component libraries, design tokens, responsive patterns, and accessibility standards.
- Integrate frontend applications with APIs, authentication, databases, enterprise systems, and platform services, and build lightweight backend functionality when needed.
- Optimize usability, performance, reliability, and security while implementing unit, integration, end-to-end, and accessibility testing.
- Own frontend delivery through rollout, documentation, onboarding, support, knowledge transfer, and adoption improvement.
- Identify recurring user needs and reusable interface patterns and feed them back into shared platform components.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in frontend engineering, UX engineering, interaction design with hands-on development, or a comparable product-facing role, including production application delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript, with knowledge of component architecture, state management, responsive design, API integration, performance optimization, and automated testing.
- Strong user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, visual hierarchy, and accessible design skills.
- Proficiency with Figma or an equivalent design tool.
- Demonstrated ability to translate user needs and design concepts into polished, maintainable, production-ready interfaces without relying on a separate handoff for every detail.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for working with non-technical users and explaining design and technical trade-offs.
- Ability to work with ambiguity, prototype rapidly, test with users, and own delivery from discovery through continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of backend APIs, authentication, databases, cloud environments, version control, CI/CD, and secure software development.
- Bonus: experience in consulting delivery, solutions engineering, internal product delivery, or other user-facing end-to-end implementation roles.
- Bonus: experience designing or building chatbot, copilot, agentic workflow, data-rich, or other AI-enabled interfaces.
- Bonus: experience with component libraries, design systems, documentation, accessibility, and visual regression testing.
- Bonus: experience with Recharts, D3.js, or Chart.js, or delivery in regulated enterprise environments including IM8 policies.
