Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and test C++ middleware running on Figure’s robots.
- Provide system-wide middleware functionality for specialized controls and autonomy software.
- Develop Python tooling and interfaces.
- Help maintain a stable, scalable, and well-tested software ecosystem in CI.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience writing production C++.
- Mastery of C++, Python, and Linux.
- Understanding of how to create testable software systems and knowledge of computer architecture.
- Understanding of Linux userspace and kernel environments.
- Proficiency with networking protocols.
- Comfort using debuggers and performance profiling tooling.
- Bonus: experience with timing-constrained systems, resource-constrained environments such as microcontrollers, and communication buses or protocols including EtherCAT, Serial, CAN, or USB.
