Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain containerized Linux user-space applications and services using modern Python.
- Develop networking applications using socket programming, TCP/IP, UDP, and Linux user-space interactions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and integrate AI/ML capabilities or automated analytics where applicable.
- Build and expand unit, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites.
- Read, interface with, and debug legacy or embedded C/C++ codebases and APIs.
- Work with RF, telecommunications, land mobile radio, radio infrastructure, and network protocols during product integration.
- Integrate code into automated build pipelines and enforce code quality through static analysis.
- Conduct hands-on testing, configuration, and debugging in virtualized environments and physical RF test facilities and network equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with relevant software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern Python software development.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating system concepts, user-space architecture, and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, sockets, and network protocols.
- Practical experience with Linux user-space development and containerization platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Ability to read, interface with, and debug C/C++ codebases.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML tools, AI coding assistants, prompt engineering for developer tooling, or AI APIs/frameworks.
- Familiarity with RF, telecommunications, or Land Mobile Radio systems is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, static code analysis tools, network diagnostic tools, Git, and Jira is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in a cross-functional team are preferred.
