Base Salary

$102k - $164k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own technical solution designs for medium-to-high complexity features.
  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts, including high-level designs, context diagrams, sequence diagrams, and current-versus-target-state documentation.
  • Evaluate design trade-offs involving latency, throughput, synchronous calls, and asynchronous calls.
  • Drive reference implementations and proof-of-concepts.
  • Govern design reviews and track technical risks, assumptions, decisions, and non-functional requirements.
  • Create, evolve, and enforce enterprise standards for identity, logging, APIs, cloud patterns, architecture principles, and best practices.
  • Maintain ecosystem, capability, system, process, and interdependency knowledge through the enterprise architecture tool.
  • Ensure alignment among enterprise, solution, and technical architecture layers.
  • Drive scalability, performance, resilience, security, compliance, risk management, and cost efficiency in system designs.
  • Coach junior architects and foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Maintain high-level design and other solution or technical artifact templates.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts, influence without authority, and build consensus across engineering and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Five to seven years of software engineering experience, including at least four years delivering complex distributed systems through architecture design and support.
  • Proficiency with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud platforms and AI/ML enablement.
  • Expertise in API management, microservices, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, FACETS, ServiceNow, Matillion, Apigee, Snowflake, and data warehousing tools and practices.
  • Experience with data architecture, analytics platforms, and data governance.
  • Experience implementing large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, diagramming, adaptability, coaching, and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to use cloud-native patterns and software development, integration, configuration management, and project management office reporting practices.
  • Ability to work with agile or waterfall methodologies.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in a technical discipline such as Information Systems Management, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Preferred: experience with multiple platforms, operating systems, relational database management systems, and integrated development environments.
  • Preferred: two or more years of healthcare or insurance industry experience.
