Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze detection bypass techniques such as rooting, hooking, and runtime application or system tampering.
  • Evaluate and reverse-engineer tools and frameworks used to attack or evade security products, documenting findings and attack vectors.
  • Generate novel detection ideas and countermeasures through structured brainstorming and collaborative research.
  • Design, prototype, and implement detection techniques and algorithms for different operating systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal tooling and automation for analysis, triage, and detection development.
  • Conduct penetration testing and adversary emulation to validate newly introduced security features.
  • Perform code and technical reviews of detection-related contributions.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and lead focused sub-groups delivering project features or research objectives.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or equivalent tools, including scripting, SDK use, and technical issue reporting.
  • Solid programming experience in C, C++, Python, and Java.
  • Ability to produce efficient, maintainable, and secure code.
  • Good knowledge of ELF and Mach-O file formats and the ability to consult official documentation.
  • Familiarity with the LLVM framework is preferred.
  • Knowledge of code obfuscation and de-obfuscation techniques and related community tools and methodologies is preferred.
