Responsibilities
- Research and analyze detection bypass techniques such as rooting, hooking, and runtime application or system tampering.
- Evaluate and reverse-engineer tools and frameworks used to attack or evade security products, documenting findings and attack vectors.
- Generate novel detection ideas and countermeasures through structured brainstorming and collaborative research.
- Design, prototype, and implement detection techniques and algorithms for different operating systems.
- Develop and maintain internal tooling and automation for analysis, triage, and detection development.
- Conduct penetration testing and adversary emulation to validate newly introduced security features.
- Perform code and technical reviews of detection-related contributions.
Requirements
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and lead focused sub-groups delivering project features or research objectives.
- Proficiency in reverse engineering with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or equivalent tools, including scripting, SDK use, and technical issue reporting.
- Solid programming experience in C, C++, Python, and Java.
- Ability to produce efficient, maintainable, and secure code.
- Good knowledge of ELF and Mach-O file formats and the ability to consult official documentation.
- Familiarity with the LLVM framework is preferred.
- Knowledge of code obfuscation and de-obfuscation techniques and related community tools and methodologies is preferred.
