Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, release, maintenance, and support.
- Design and develop readable, testable, and maintainable Java code, APIs, microservices, streaming applications, and data pipelines.
- Build distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable solutions using event-driven architecture and Kafka.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using AWS EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Facilitate alignment across technology teams on goals, outcomes, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Drive innovation through adoption of new technologies and collaborate with application developers, data specialists, product managers, and QA teams.
- Participate in testing, defect triage, Agile ceremonies, and support for virtual teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering Java-based APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and AWS products.
- Experience with GraphQL, OpenAPI, gRPC, AWS ECR, AWS EKS, Amazon EC2, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk.
- Strong experience with Kafka, streaming technologies, event-driven architecture, scalable applications, and data pipelines.
- Experience with SQL, stored procedures, functions, and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, highly available and fault-tolerant design, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience developing TDD/BDD unit tests and collaborating with quality assurance teams on defect triage and resolution.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, design, multitasking, and rapid-learning skills.
- Preferred exposure to Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, financial services or investment banking, Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, Tableau CRM, Cognos, Power BI, MuleSoft, StreamSets, and Databricks.
