Base Salary
$253k - $380k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the operational design domain (ODD) and negotiate product-level wants.
- Develop hardware/software architecture in collaboration with hardware and software leads.
- Define requirements, metrics, and verification methods with systems engineering teams.
- Establish high-level functional safety approaches and safety architecture.
- Design fail-safe and fail-functional architectures for safety compliance.
- Collaborate across functions on autonomy topics from mapping to vehicle controls.
- Evaluate in-car systems from the customer perspective and provide feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 10+ years of experience, or a Master's with 8+ years, or a PhD with 5+ years.
- At least 6+ years of experience in automotive or robotics engineering.
- Experience with autonomy functions such as mapping, sensing, and motion planning.
- Proficient in writing requirements and developing metrics.
- Experience with data-driven analysis and testing of complex systems.
- Knowledge of autonomy and safety-related software algorithms.
- Proficient in Python, C++, or similar programming languages, and git.
