Base Salary
$140k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new functionality based on product objectives and requirements
- Execute feature improvements, bug fixes, and technical enhancements across the platform
- Expand APIs and business logic and write or revise customer-facing API documentation
- Work with infrastructure teams to enable highly available, performant, and well-instrumented backend applications and services
- Support operations and infrastructure teams with production issue resolution
- Continually improve technology skills and broaden versatility across Open Commerce platform systems
Requirements
- 3–5 years of practical industry experience or equivalent building systems in Ruby on Rails
- Experience designing, implementing, evolving, and maintaining backend APIs
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational database technologies
- Experience with service-based architectures and well-factored Rails monolith applications
- Ability to write clean code and effective automated tests
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent years of professional working experience
- Experience with Node.js and React is an additional skill
- Experience with Nest.js and/or GraphQL is an additional skill
- Experience in the retail and/or fuel and convenience industries is an additional skill
- Experience working in distributed teams is an additional skill
