Base Salary
$175k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship features across Mirage’s video creation software, video rendering engine, and developer platform while identifying developer workflow friction.
- Build tools, agents, and workflows that improve engineering productivity and make the fastest path to production easy to follow.
- Rebuild CI/CD with incremental builds, test selection, flaky-test detection and quarantine, merge queues, and preview environments.
- Implement progressive rollouts, automated canary analysis, feature flags, and automatic rollback for safer deployments.
- Own sandboxes, ephemeral stacks, and tooling that coding agents use to build, test, and verify their work.
- Create AI-assisted code review with agent reviewers, risk-based human routing, and automated policy checks.
- Run continuous agent-driven penetration testing and turn findings into pull requests with proposed fixes.
- Integrate secrets, dependency, and supply-chain scanning, vulnerability triage, and automatically generated remediation pull requests.
- Secure agents’ access to code, infrastructure, and data using least-privilege permissions, short-lived credentials, sandboxing, audit logs, and prompt-injection guardrails.
- Measure and improve the development lifecycle, including PR-to-production time, credential longevity, and flaky-test rates.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building backend or full-stack software and shipping high-impact products or systems end to end.
- Strong product sense and experience building products or systems that users value.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, or security, with willingness to develop deeper specialization.
- Extensive current use of coding agents and informed opinions about their limitations.
- Strong security instincts and the ability to consider how systems could be attacked during development.
- A practical, measurement-driven approach to solving problems and shipping effective solutions quickly.
- Comfort owning build, deployment, review, and security across layers and defining a roadmap without an existing playbook.
- Interest in staying close to product development and shipping to production weekly.
- Experience with internal developer platforms or productivity tooling, offensive security, production LLM agents or evaluations, merge queues, monorepo tooling, or test-impact analysis is preferred.
- Startup founder or early-engineer experience is preferred.
