Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Program and test software and systems using Python, C, C++, Java, and logic programming languages.
  • Design formal and informal models and specifications for protocols and systems.
  • Develop algorithms to analyze system behavior, failure modes, security, and resilience.
  • Apply formal methods including model checking and theorem proving to network and system research.
  • Use analysis results to validate technical hypotheses and determine next steps.
  • Advance network security research and own projects or major project components.
  • Lead and perform cutting-edge research for customers.
  • Travel up to 10% to company, teammate, or customer sites.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics, or equivalent experience, with at least five years of relevant experience; alternatively, an advanced related degree with at least three years of experience.
  • At least three years of experience with multiple software development tools and languages, including Python and either C/C++ or Java.
  • Experience with formal methods, mathematical logic, logic programming, networking fundamentals, and systems security.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance within one year; an active and existing security clearance is required after day one.
  • Preferred: PhD degree and experience applying and scaling model checking, model measuring, and theorem proving.
  • Preferred: experience writing logic for SAT or SMT solvers, Python or shell scripting, proposals and capture, and networking or protocols including TCP/IP stacks, wire-level protocols, RF communications, or BGP.
