Base Salary
$123k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for building, testing, and operating K2's vehicles and customer payloads.
- Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to identify software solutions for complex problems.
- Facilitate software design reviews and architecture discussions.
- Support development across the tech stack, including Rust and TypeScript.
- Provide on-call support for ground test activities and on-orbit operations.
- Mentor other engineers to foster a strong team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related STEM field, or 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience with Rust or another statically-typed backend programming language.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend development tools.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and deployment.
- Knowledge of SQL databases and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and networking protocols.
