Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and data pipelines for order dispatching, shipment-performance scoring, and tracking-number connectivity.
- Translate product and business needs into tested, maintainable software.
- Develop Kotlin/JVM services and contribute to React components.
- Contribute to Scala, Spark, and BigQuery-based data processing, queries, and reports.
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, monitor systems after release, and gradually participate in on-duty support after onboarding.
- Take ownership of well-scoped tasks from clarification through implementation and post-release support.
Requirements
- Professional experience programming in Kotlin or Java and motivation to develop Kotlin skills in production.
- Willingness to work across backend, data, and frontend technologies; React expertise is not required.
- Basic understanding of microservices and interest in reliable, scalable systems.
- Interest in learning Scala, Spark, and BigQuery for data engineering work.
- Commitment to code quality, constructive code reviews, and sound engineering practices.
- Clear communication with teammates and stakeholders and ability to take ownership of well-scoped tasks.
- Professional working proficiency in English at least at B2 level.
- Preferred: experience writing SQL queries in BigQuery for analysis or reporting.
- Preferred: familiarity with cloud-based services.
