Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain production data pipelines, services, and internal tooling with team support.
- Work with BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), GCS, and other Google Cloud Platform services.
- Implement data ingestion, validation, data-quality checks, monitoring, alerts, and operational automation.
- Process structured, semi-structured, and event data using formats including Avro, Protobuf, Parquet, JSON, and CSV.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, incident follow-ups, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to understand data-product usage.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with Python, Java, or Kotlin.
- Basic ability to write clean, tested code and willingness to learn modern software engineering practices.
- Solid SQL fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of data modeling, relational databases, APIs, and common data formats.
- Interest in cloud platforms, distributed systems, and data processing at scale.
- Systematic problem-solving, active learning, and effective questioning.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Preferred: projects involving data pipelines, backend services, cloud platforms, or SQL data warehouses.
- Preferred: familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD, Linux, or cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
- Preferred: exposure to DBT, Airflow, Apache Beam, Spark, Kafka, or streaming systems.
