Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of full-stack solutions across frontend, backend, API, and enterprise integration layers.
- Own and advance the enterprise GraphQL API platform, including performance, scalability, security, governance, and connectivity across enterprise systems.
- Architect and build frontend applications using React and Next.js, establishing UI development patterns and standards.
- Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into maintainable solutions.
- Define and enforce standards for API design, frontend architecture, code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Lead organizational architectural discussions and technical decisions involving integration patterns, frontend architecture, and enterprise connectivity.
- Guide and mentor senior, mid-level, and junior developers while promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work across MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle DB data layers to support efficient data access, transformation, and API exposure.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, containerization strategies, and deployment processes across the stack.
- Identify and champion AI, automation, and emerging technology opportunities that reduce toil and accelerate engineering velocity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a principal, staff, or equivalent senior technical leadership role.
- Expert proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript across frontend and backend environments.
- Deep experience with React and Next.js, including server-side rendering, app routing, state management, and component architecture.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and backend service development.
- Deep experience designing, implementing, and governing GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Understanding of API architecture, authentication, and authorization mechanisms including OAuth and JWT.
- Hands-on experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle DB.
- Proficiency with Docker for containerization and deployment.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture using SNS/SQS and Kafka.
- Knowledge of API gateway technologies and microservices architecture.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences.
- Track record of delivering scalable, high-quality solutions in enterprise environments.
- Preferred experience with CPQ, ERP, PLM, CRM, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, AWS, Azure, GCP, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, design systems, accessibility standards, UI performance optimization, and AI/ML or automation tooling.
