Responsibilities
- Perform application security testing for web applications and APIs and automate related tools.
- Conduct penetration testing of broader systems and environments.
- Perform threat modeling and technical security reviews.
- Write application code and scripts for security testing and automation.
- Support development teams with application security matters.
- Use and develop AI as part of security testing.
- Interpret and assess security findings, including findings from static testing.
- Prepare reports and present findings to customer personnel.
- Explain technical security topics clearly to nontechnical audiences and support junior testers.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in technical security testing, particularly web applications and APIs.
- Strong practical proficiency with Burp Suite.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate security findings, including static testing results.
- Excellent Finnish and English communication skills.
- Experience working directly with customers and presenting reports.
- Good teamwork skills combined with an independent and proactive working style.
- Ability to support junior testers.
- Additional valued qualifications include application security, threat modeling, DevSecOps, security-testing scripting, web development, cloud platforms and cloud security, and security-testing certifications.
- Experience or interest in Java, .NET, JavaScript-based languages, or Python is valued.
- Participation in security communities, HTB, CTFs, or PortSwigger Web Security Academy is valued.
