Responsibilities
- Define and execute mobile technology strategy aligned with retail objectives and senior leadership priorities.
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across mobile and backend systems, balancing stability, scalability, security, and cost.
- Provide technical leadership across Android, iOS, and cross-platform mobile development using Kotlin Multiplatform and Server-Driven UI.
- Drive native Android and iOS development, backend integration, automated testing, deployment, performance monitoring, and distributed tracing.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex production issues and critical outages.
- Partner with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to drive successful deployment and adoption of mobile solutions.
- Provide technical direction, evaluate tradeoffs, and promote an excellent engineering culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement where applicable.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering competencies such as frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
- At least 8 years of experience implementing solutions through development life cycles.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
- Track record of executing major technology renovation or modernization strategies, preferably involving SDUI, KMP, and GraphQL BFF elements.
- Expertise in microservices, server-side design patterns, and high-performance, multi-layered JVM in-memory caching.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI APIs, LLM prompt engineering, and code-generation tools or agents.
