Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of hybrid and multicloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Operate and optimize Apache Kafka clusters, including Mirror and MirrorMaker replication configurations.
- Support MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL replication, scaling, and backup strategies as needed.
- Implement observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic.
- Promote DevOps and GitOps practices through Ansible automation, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.
- Manage certificates, encryption keys, RBAC, and LDAP/IDM integration for security, authentication, and authorization.
- Oversee provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and decommissioning across the infrastructure lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal IT and application teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and platform delivery.
- At least 2 years of hands-on Kubernetes or OpenShift experience in production.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka distributed architecture, replication, and high availability.
- Expertise in DevOps, automation, scripting, and platform engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, and Elastic observability stacks.
- Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other database platforms is a plus.
- Experience with OpenShift Virtualization, Nutanix, VMware, or KVM is a plus.
- Experience with IBM Power systems in containerized environments is a plus.
- Preferred certifications include Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (RHCSA/RHCA) and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA); additional cloud, database, DevOps, or virtualization certifications are a plus.
- Strong engineering mindset focused on automation, lifecycle management, and reliable delivery, along with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
