Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate backend unstructured-storage services for RelativityOne using C#/.NET.
  • Implement Azure storage solutions with lifecycle policies, multi-tenant isolation, access controls, and cost optimization.
  • Develop service-to-service communication using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, streaming, retries, deadlines, contract versioning, and REST APIs.
  • Lead and participate in technical design reviews, document architectural decisions, and promote cloud-native storage patterns.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify reliability and performance risks, and improve instrumentation, automation, and operational playbooks.
  • Contribute to the storage platform roadmap by evaluating technologies and recommending long-term improvements.
  • Collaborate with product engineering, SRE, and security teams to deliver end-to-end platform solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain service health and support customers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience in backend services, distributed systems, or data/platform engineering.
  • Strong C#/.NET Core development skills.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-native storage solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP, with Azure preferred.
  • Understanding of distributed storage fundamentals, including partitioning, consistency models, data access patterns, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with production service deployment and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Preferred experience with Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, gRPC services, distributed service communication, multi-tenant platforms, storage lifecycle management, and access control models.
  • Preferred familiarity with observability, operational excellence, incident response, and large-scale storage optimization.
  • Additional listed skills include engineering principles, hardware integration, innovation, problem solving, process improvement, quality assurance, research and development, system design, technical documentation, and troubleshooting.
