Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for configuration and experimentation infrastructure.
- Maintain and evolve feature-flagging, dynamic-configuration, and experimentation system architecture.
- Design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries for high-volume workloads.
- Own platforms and tooling that enable safe configuration changes, controlled experiments, and impact measurement.
- Define standards, tooling, and frameworks that improve developer productivity across research and production workloads.
- Partner with deployment, testing, and other teams to translate goals into execution plans and solve complex technical problems.
Requirements
- Deep experience with configuration management, feature flagging, and/or experimentation platforms in large-scale environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go.
- Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to support internal engineering and research partners.
- Strong candidates may have 15+ years of software engineering experience building and operating large-scale developer infrastructure.
- Strong candidates may have 3+ years leading large-scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or technical lead.
- Experience with platforms such as Statsig, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, or Unleash, including building comparable systems in-house, is valuable.
- Experience designing experimentation frameworks involving randomization, assignment, metrics pipelines, and statistical analysis is valuable.
- Experience with dynamic configuration systems and safe rollout mechanisms such as gradual rollouts, kill switches, and targeting rules is valuable.
- Experience building CLI tools, developer-facing services, and APIs or automation workflows integrated with existing CI/CD pipelines is valuable.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.
