Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend systems handling significant traffic and data volumes.
- Maintain and evolve a shared Rust component for iOS and Android focused on networking, data synchronization, and shared feature logic.
- Collaborate with iOS and Android engineers to maintain a unified cross-platform codebase.
- Design and implement consumer social product features.
- Monitor analytics, manage system crashes, triage bugs, and own the reliability of assigned areas.
- Participate in technical discussions, brainstorming, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience writing Rust through open-source or professional work, or experience with another low-level systems language such as C++, C, or OCaml.
- Production experience working with distributed systems such as Redpanda, Kafka, ScyllaDB, or Cassandra.
- Strong opinions about building products in the consumer social domain are preferred.
- French is not required, and perfect English is not required.
