AI Agent Engineering Project Intern (Corporate Service System - Procurement) - 2026 Start（BS/MS）
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and validation of Procurement Agents and the System AI Harness.
- Develop and maintain services, business logic, and data flows for AI-native procurement systems.
- Explore agent capabilities including planning, tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
- Build prototypes, experiment with emerging AI techniques, and translate ideas into product capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver complete solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronic/Information Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Available to start immediately, ideally within one week, and commit continuously for ideally three months or more while working at least three days per week.
- Have a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals from coursework or projects.
- Proficient in at least one of Golang, Java, or Python, with good coding habits.
- Prior professional work experience is not required.
- Preferred qualifications include coursework, research, or projects involving AI, machine learning, or large language models; exposure to LLM systems, prompt engineering, RAG, tool/function calling, or agent orchestration frameworks; and experience building AI-powered applications or agent demos.
- Programming competition achievements, research publications, high-quality open-source contributions, and prior internship, lab, or project experience are preferred.
