Tech Lead - MLOps & Infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines for model training, evaluation, approval, deployment, and auditability.
- Design and deploy Terraform-based infrastructure for ML platform resources.
- Build automated Amazon SageMaker training jobs with hyperparameter tuning, distributed training, and spot optimization.
- Implement model performance monitoring, data drift detection, prediction quality tracking, and automated retraining triggers.
- Establish model artifact CI/CD, versioning, container builds, integration testing, staged rollouts, and validation gates.
- Design model registry and artifact management systems supporting governance, reproducibility, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and auto-scaling for ML training and inference workloads.
- Define and enforce MLOps best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring.
- Coordinate with customer platform, IT security, and quality teams on networking, security, and compliance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead the architecture and implementation of production-grade MLOps infrastructure.
- Experience with ML pipelines, model lifecycle management, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated deployment processes.
- Experience with Terraform and Amazon SageMaker, including training automation and distributed workloads.
- Ability to establish governance, reproducibility, validation, and compliance practices for ML systems.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, make architectural decisions, define standards, and mentor others.
- Ability to collaborate with platform, security, and quality stakeholders.
