Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Own product features end to end from initial design through release and ongoing improvement.
- Make architectural decisions and balance scalability, quality, delivery speed, and business impact.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend features throughout their full lifecycle.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for tasks such as refactoring, documentation, testing, and migrations while maintaining quality and architectural integrity.
- Share best practices around prompt engineering and AI-driven development with the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, including a first role within a product company such as a SaaS, fintech, or marketplace business.
- Deep proficiency in Java or Kotlin and confidence working with complex backend architectures, APIs, and data models.
- Experience driving architectural decisions and applying modular design patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture.
- A product-oriented approach with end-to-end feature ownership and strong user-focused decision-making.
- Experience with the full feature lifecycle, including CI/CD, testing, observability, monitoring, and scalable performance.
- Fluent English communication skills in an English-speaking environment.
- Curiosity about or experience using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Gemini, or Claude Code.
