Base Salary
$97k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for database infrastructure, applications, tools, networks, and operating systems.
- Build automation services and host agents for provisioning, lifecycle management, live migrations, maintenance, recovery, and region bootstrap.
- Drive complex projects from architecture through production operation.
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and debug software for highly available distributed systems and cloud services.
- Provide technical leadership, guide design decisions, mentor software developers, and improve engineering and operational practices.
- Specify and implement changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems and/or cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Java and scripting languages such as Python and Perl.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, and cloud services fundamentals.
- Working familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies, especially in cloud environments.
- Experience or strong interest in databases, distributed systems, and cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and/or Ansible is preferred.

- US hiring range is $96,500 to $209,500 per annum; bonus and equity may be available.
