Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform features primarily in Golang.
- Make architectural decisions and set the technical direction for the integration platform.
- Operate services in AWS production, including on-call responsibilities, incident response, and observability.
- Support product and delivery teams and take ownership of problems end to end.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and shape team engineering practices.
- Lead projects or own architecture decisions when applicable.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Golang.
- Experience building event-driven distributed systems and HTTP services.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging using Kafka, SQS, SNS, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding of eventual consistency, idempotency, retries, and dead-letter handling.
- Experience running personal services in AWS production environments.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development, pair programming, mentoring, and technical communication.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering judgment.
- Kubernetes or another container platform experience is a plus.
- Technical leadership, such as leading a project or owning an architecture decision, is a plus.
