Responsibilities
- Implement developer tools and product features under the direction of a senior developer.
- Contribute as a backend or frontend engineer based on project needs.
- Build and maintain user-facing features using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Develop Java backend services supporting Global Search adoption and scalability.
- Assist with building and extending Workiva Assistant functionality using TypeScript.
- Track assignments and provide status updates through internal tools.
- Participate in Agile development activities, standups, user-story definition, and development tasks.
- Complete code reviews and unit tests.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Some experience with one or more of Python, Go, Java, C, C++, C#, Dart, JavaScript, and SQL is preferred.
- A solid foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design, is preferred.
- Additional exposure to React, Angular, Google App Engine, Amazon EC2, Amazon AWS, database design, HTTP, and web protocols is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, ownership, self-motivation, multitasking, and continuous-improvement skills are preferred.
