Responsibilities
- Implement developer tools and product features under the direction of a senior developer.
- Contribute as a frontend or backend engineer based on project needs.
- Build and maintain user-facing features using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Develop Java backend services to support Global Search adoption and scalability.
- Assist with building and extending Workiva Assistant functionality using TypeScript.
- Track assignments and provide status updates using internal tools.
- Attend standups, define user stories, and implement development tasks in an Agile development environment.
- Complete code reviews and unit tests.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Passion for writing software and learning current software development techniques.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design.
- Some experience with one or more of Python, Go, Java, C, C++, C#, Dart, JavaScript, or SQL.
- Additional exposure to React or Angular, Google App Engine, Amazon EC2 or AWS, database design, HTTP, web protocols, and REST or SOAP APIs is preferred depending on team assignment.
- Ability to take ownership, act independently, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
