Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize firmware for Lunar Energy hardware devices, including edge optimization
- Design, code, and test high-performance subsystems for constrained hardware
- Develop firmware across the embedded stack, from bootloader to high-level application firmware
- Develop platform firmware supporting flash file systems, communication stacks, and build tool management
- Port and maintain the RTOS environment
- Build component firmware that integrates with other Lunar system components
- Drive system architecture discussions and participate in design and code reviews
- Support system testing, reliability, and manufacturing teams with firmware features and debugging
- Review performance data collected from internal and external test sites
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing and architecting software across the lifecycle from prototype to production
- Experience developing C in bare-metal systems and/or RTOS environments
- Experience implementing power electronics firmware control functionality
- Ability to integrate hardware and software to develop end-to-end solutions
- Ability to contribute effectively in a small, fast-moving, multidisciplinary team
- Experience with modern software engineering practices such as Git and continuous integration
