Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and MongoDB.
- Build and maintain scalable, secure, and documented APIs and microservices.
- Own application modules from requirements through production across the full software development lifecycle.
- Identify technical and delivery risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Integrate and promote AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude, and Codex.
- Define engineering standards and operational processes while assessing impacts on system integrity, data quality, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience focused on Java application development in commercial or enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and well-documented APIs and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and Maven or Gradle.
- Strong Git version-control experience and familiarity with team branching practices such as Gitflow.
- Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude, Codex, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with SOAP, XML, and JSON web-service standards and data formats.
- Angular experience, software delivery coordination, and project management or consulting methodology exposure are beneficial.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
