Responsibilities
- Drive technical execution of audio technology projects from requirements through integration and validation.
- Design, implement, and optimize platform software components for embedded and RTOS-based environments using C/C++.
- Coordinate integration across DSP pipelines, middleware, and partner deliverables while resolving system-level issues.
- Define integration strategies, maintain dependency matrices, and plan for scalability across future product lines.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for systems, QA, and security teams and represent software interests in program discussions.
- Validate latency-sensitive audio systems, optimize real-time performance, and ensure compliance with product requirements.
- Maintain technical notes, integration plans, and progress reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field and 3+ years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded or RTOS-based software development.
- Experience with audio technologies such as DSP integration, low-latency audio pipelines, or room correction algorithms.
- Working knowledge of real-time or near-real-time systems, scheduling, latency analysis, synchronization, and embedded performance constraints.
- Ability to lead technical projects and deliver complex software solutions without direct people management.
- Understanding of system integration, debugging, performance optimization, middleware frameworks, IPC mechanisms, and hardware-software interaction.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to drive technical discussions and influence outcomes.
- Experience in consumer electronics or OEM/ODM collaboration is preferred.
- Experience with DSP and firmware development on BES, Qualcomm, or AMLogic platforms and/or Android audio frameworks is preferred.

- Hiring range for the primary Framingham, Massachusetts location is $97,200-$133,650 annually; ranges may vary by work location.
